Bugged Sleep Action

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.24
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Base game only (installed 2 days ago)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Give a sim the action to go to sleep
What happens when the bug occurs? When I direct a sim to go to sleep, the sim walks to their bed and then just stands by their bed without changing into sleepwear or getting into it. They will stand there forever, and the action icon doesn't leave their queue. If you attempt to cancel the action, the action icon stays in the queue still but with a cross through it. If you try to initiate another action, it will queue behind the sleep action (whether it has been cancelled or not) and nothing will happen. The bug can be reset by saving, going to manage worlds and then going back to that household, but I don't think that should be considered a fix when it's something I basically have to do every night if the sim household has 3 or more people in as one of them will probably have the bug occur.
What do you expect to see? The sim should go to the bed, change into sleepwear, get into bed and sleep until their energy is restored or until the action is cancelled. When the action is cancelled it should actually cancel and then leave the queue bar.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

This doesn't happen every time I make a sim go to sleep, but there doesn't seem to be any particular triggering action that i can tell. The only thing I can think of is if somehow I'm allocating an action right as another action is allocated by the game automatically and something gets stuck? I'm not sure.

Either way, this game is brand new, I installed it literally 2 days ago, I only bought the base game with no expansions, dlc or custom content.

The beds I've had this happen with have all been the ModPod Twin Sleeper bed, but I don't know if that's the only bed it happens with as it's also the only bed I've added to a house so far!

The internet suggests this is not a new bug by any means, I can see forum/reddit posts tracking back as far as 2015, so I feel like there really should be a patch fix for this by now??
