Build mode not working

So, I downloaded the new update (11/20/18) and Build Mode is no longer working. When i click the build mode icon it takes me to build mode but nothing shows up at the bottom of my screen...no options or items. Luckily, I'm able to return to live mode and can rearrange objects but that's about it.
I don’t know if the info helps, but i do play with mods and CC, but I've already tried removing them and re-inserting them with no luck whatsoever.

Any help is greatly appreciated in helping me solve the issues!

    Move your mods folder to desktop, delete localthumbcache.package file from a game folder . Fix your game on Origin ,
    Some outdated mod caused it. Probably UIC .
    No script mods work after the last patch. All script mods should be replaced with new versions

    Where can I find the localthumbcache.package? And what does UIC stand for?

    Documents/Electronic Arts/ The Sims4 folder . Localthumbcache.package file is in The Sims4 folder.
    UIC is a script mod. which for some players caused the disappearance of the Building Mode menu. In your case it may be a different mod but it certainly causes an outdated mod
    You have to replace all your scripts mods . After all, no script mod can be used now because EA switched to another Python script. and these mods are written on the old one
    Start delete your old script mods, because I do not think it's CC fault

    I've updated all script mods and have deleted the UIC mod. That was the issue so things are back to normal for now! Thanks for the help!!
