buying a new activation code

Hi

is there a way to buy a new product key for Sims 4.

I have a per-owned Sims 4 and the key had been used.

Thanks

@ehboym The Sims 4 disc is just a physical means to distribute the game. The case includes a disc and a code to be used to activate the game once it is installed. After installation you do not need the disc to play. It's is a physical thing that is slowly disappearing. Tomb Raider games are no longer distributed in a physical media. You want to play the new Tomb Raider games on a pc you have to buy the game through Steam. What you are paying for is a license to use the software (game). The code is only used to activate the installation (proof of purchase). Depending on where you buy the game I'm guessing the price is going to be the same as buying the digital download version. Amazon Prime $29.99.

    Hi @ehboym

Yeah, the responses from @Phantomlover1717 and @roberta591 are totally correct, once you buy the game and register it on your Origin account it stays connected with that account, so you can always download the game from Origin, even if you no longer have the game disk. This is also helpful in the cases where the game disk has some flaw and is preventing the media from being read by your computer. In the PC world it works like this.

Its not the same as a console game (Physical copies) that you can lend to your friend or resell it.

So my best advice with every PC game you buy from someone is to check if the code as already been not been used.
