[BY DESIGN] Autonomous Romance?
So are the autonomous romances that generate when playing multiple households a confirmed bug or was this intentionally included in the game? I'm getting tired of coming back to my married Sims' home...

I think it's intentional especially for romantic Sims. If they meet on community lots, they can flirt and get into romantic relationships.
Maybe @SimGuruNick knows more though ?
Doesn't bother me too much. I just don't like my married Sims messing around like that without my say so.
I agree with you. It's not fun if you play rotational. I just don't know if Maxis considers this as working as intended or not.

This is currently the intended design. Our autonomy does not distinguish between NPCs and non-active played Sims. So like Crin said, non-active played Sims can get into romantic interactions on community lots with any other Sim.
That being said, I would love to get my hands on a save file where this issue is occurring. Just because it's the intended design doesn't mean I can't report it, and all the issues it's creating. 🙂
