Screen goes white during CAS

I am using a brand new Dell Pro Max 16 and I’ve tried to play the sims three times and each time something goes wrong. This time the screen flickered and went white thirty minutes into making a new sim on cas. I can still see and move the cursor and the music is playing. As far as I know all of my specs exceed the requirements for the sims 4. I know this isn’t a gaming computer but it’s required for my degree program which is very tech heavy so I’m not sure why I can’t play the sims on it. No CC or Mods ever

    dianag424​  Try forcing the game to launch in windowed mode.  Open Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).

    If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
