118GB should be enough. I had Sims 4 installed on an SSD with only 100GB, maybe you need to purge some CC?
I also had TS4 installed on a very small SSD, but that was also a while ago before patches adding more content, as well as packs being released... It feels like with every patch the game takes more and more space. Even without mods :o
