Electronic Arts folder automatically saving to my Downloads instead of Documents
Upon reinstalling the EA App and TS4, I noticed that for some reason, my game folder is saving to my downloads and not my documents. I double checked and I do not have OneDrive on and never have. I've also looked and both my documents and downloads are on the same user, not a different drive/profile. Is there any way to reroute it or is a reinstall my best bet? TIA!graphics problems?
Hi everyone, I'll explain step by step what I did. My The Sims has always worked fine, and I have about 100 mods but from 2022 until yesterday I never had any problems with this gaming computer I have. Yesterday, however, I thought of going to Windows 11 settings > system > display > graphics and manually insert The Sims 4 into this list to set my graphics on the game, which are good graphics, I entered the game and I didn't understand anything anymore, I lag, the CAS is very slow, I tried removing The Sims 4 from the list I told you about before but nothing, I uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims but nothing either, I don't know how to solve this problem, the game no longer runs smoothly, the CAS takes a few seconds longer to load an outfit when before it was perfect despite the cc I'm posting pictures of where I went in Windows settings and my computer info, please help me!Can I play The Sims 4 on my laptop?
Hi, I have a question about whether I can play The Sims 4 on my laptop or not. I have a Lenovo Ideapad 17,3 I3- 1215U. According to the system requirements on the EA website, my laptop meets the minimum requirements. Only the video card I’m not sure about. I have only the base game installed and I have no mod’s and cc. I play no other games on that laptop. Besides for The Sims, I use my laptop for typing, e-mail, internet and watching You Tube video’s. I looked up information on google and everything that I can find there, say’s that my laptop should be able to run The Sims 4, although on low-minimum settings. It say’s that I should be able to play it even with a few expansions packs, and that I would get a problem if I would have all the expansion packs or cc and mods. But at the computer store where I bought the laptop, they say that nowadays, to be able to play games, you should have a gaming laptop. I just think that isn’t true, because all the information I find say’s different. They say my laptop doesn’t have a video card, so I can’t play The Sims 4 on it. I think it’s probably true that I don’t have a video card, but on the internet it say’s that my laptop has a integrated Intel UDH Graphics, and that I’m able to play the game with that. (This is what it say’s on google. I’m not sure what video card/graphics I have). I would appreciate it if someone can help me find out whether my laptop can run The Sims 4 or not, at least the base game. I would like to add a few expansion pack’s, but it is not necessary. If it’s possible, I would like to add ‘Cats and dogs’, ‘Seasons’ and ‘Cottage living’. Thanx in advance.Laptop for sims 4 UK.
Hello I have recently really been wanting to get back into sims 4, however I don’t have a laptop for it. I would want to buy one that works well with all the expansion packs and custom content. I wouldn’t be using the laptop for anything else, but would be nice to have that option if I ever found anything else. I just need help finding a fairly decent priced laptop that’s actually good. I was thinking of the LENOVO LOQ 15IAX9 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i5, RTX 3050, 1 TB SSD. Would appreciate if someone could help me decide if this is a good choice or suggest something different. Thank you.SolvedMemory full..
Sul Sul! I'm having some issues with memory on my laptop - which is solely used to play TS4.. I have all add-ons (packs / kits / expansions) and so the memory is now full. I went for a higher spec but alas, I am defeated! Is there a way to play with all add-ons without having them all installed on my laptop? ie can I use Steam / Origin or anything similar to play through an app rather than installing? Apologies, new to the technical side even though I've played 20+ years (and don't wish to purchase another laptop) Thanks!Sims 4 will not download
hello! i am posting here because i am sort of burnt out trying to fix my sims. i uninstalled it a long time ago because it took up so much space. i just recently bought a flash drive though (yes it’s formatted to NFTS) to play sims on it. i was presented with issues downloading it last night and the EA forums initially helped, by deleting my ts4 64 and 86 files i believe and ‘reinstalling’ them. it took well over 12 hours to install the game and packs i have just for it tell me it needs repairs when i tried to launch it. all day the repairs have been stuck at 52% and then it would stop and an error would occur. i tried moving my sims 4 folder out of electronic art onto my desktop at first and it seems to help but then the same problem occurred. i mean it seemed to help because while it didn’t go past 52% the mb below was going up a little but then the error message came up again. i tried doing a lot of stuff i can’t specifically recall, i did clear the cache and restart the app a ton of times. i tried to make exceptions in my antivirus but the only one i have is just the standard windows one and im not even sure i did it right. i also successfully repaired the actual EA app but that didn’t help anything. i do not play with any mods i just have some packs kits whatever that i bought. i believe i submitted a help report thing on the EA app but i am hoping someone here might help me better? i can attach a dxdiag if that’s helpful, but i am burnt out. thanks.226Views0likes12CommentsI'm crying, it's so infuriating
CRASHES CRASHES CRASHES All the steps I have done: Uninstalled the game and EA app fully. Also manually removed the files. Repaired 6/7 times (yes, the meme). Set up specific settings with NVIDIA. Set up specific settings in my general gaming settings. Tested dx9 settings. Tested dx11 settings. Ran on laptop mode. Ran on lowest mode possible. Ensured everything on my end is updated. Got rid of my old save file (beloved and worked on for years). Got rid of old sims characters. No mods or CC anymore (since I uninstalled and reinstalled). There is literally nothing else I can do. It crashes once in the dark blue screen, so about 10-15 seconds in from loading, with the following pop-up from EA. EVERY TIME for the past week. "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." How much later? A day? A week? A month?! EA - I'm convinced you're breaking the Consumer Goods Act law.Gameplay crashing
I just recently bought a brand-new Microsoft monitor and mini-PC to play sims and it keeps crashing. The mini-PC has 16 GB, and all mods have been removed from the game. I get about 10 minutes of gameplay in, and the computer either turns completely off or closes out of the game. I've looked into previous discussions on here with no luck. I've already tried-clearing cache, repairing the game, uninstalling and reinstalling the game/driver program, system reset of PC, both dx9 and dx11, new save of the game.132Views0likes8CommentsWasn’t sure which forum to ask
This is more of a standard issue… my laptop LOVES to do this every now & then & it irritates me badly. So my laptop isn’t really recognizing that the game is open so when I walk away from my screen for too long it’ll turn dark then turn off completely. Like how when you’re actually only on your home screen doing nothing & it shuts off for inactivity. That’s what it’s currently doing even with the game open which it’s not supposed to do. Hate when this happens, even tried uninstalling the game completely & it didn’t make a difference. First it opened up as a small window, after i changed the settings in game so it’ll open up full screen but it’s like it’s still not recognized. Idk if anyone has any advice or if I’m stuck with it like this until it magically goes back to normal.
