Cakes stuck in fridge

Alright, weird problem. I started a save a while back for a legacy game, and my sims keep making cakes and putting them in the fridge. I assume that's because of an eco NAP or whatever, but the problem is once the cake goes in the fridge no one can remove it. I can't drag it out, and there's no option for my sims to take the cake out. I have literally uninstalled and reinstalled the Sims, and the problem still isn't fixed. I've tried to debug the fridge. This wouldn't be that big of a deal, except if I have my sims use the "Get Leftovers" option they always pull out cake slices for dinner no matter what I do. There's like 10 cakes in there now. They never spoil. They are eternal. They will outlive the old gods themselves. Any idea how to fix this?
