Can I uninstall one pack without uninstalling the game?

Pretty straightforward question. I am not using the Eco-Lifestyle pack and the things that it does automatically to game play (the random kleptos and the inspector and constantly baking) are just annoying. I want to uninstall the Eco pack, but the only instructions I can find say I have to uninstall Sims 4 as a whole and then re-install every other pack. It will take hours to re-install them all with my spotty internet connection. That's such a pain. Surely there is a way to just uninstall one.

  • @SamanthieRosi  You could delete the EP09 folder (Eco Lifestyle is expansion pack 9) from the game's program files.  Although this is unsupported, it does often work; the downside is that if it doesn't work, you might have to repair the game, and then Origin might just redownload the pack.  If you want to try, the full file path (unless you changed the default install location) would be:

    Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\EP09

The other disadvantage is that Origin will try to redownload the pack after every patch, or if you repair the game or clear Origin's cache.  You can look for the download and cancel it, but it's still annoying to have to check.  Plus, Origin often won't start the download until you launch the game and get to the Main Menu, so you'd need to alt-tab back to Origin cancel it.

Or you could just disable the pack from loading:

@puzzlezaddict If I had seen your message just a tad earlier I would have just disabled it, as I don't need the space. But it is too late now. I have 2hr and 3min left for the base game to reinstall. Thanks though! Good to know for next time.
