Cannot choose new aspiration for my Sim in The Sims 4

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into sim's aspiration menu
What happens when the bug occurs? When I click on the star button for the aspirations menu, the menu either doesn't come up or it pops up and it's completely blank. I've also notice that the menu has changed when it does come up.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see a list of aspirations to choose for my sim to accomplish.
