Hello everyone,I just installed the SOL mod, however Sims 4 wont launch after I've installed it.I tried to delete the mod, but only a few components were able to be removed.The rest (marked with an 'x') wont let me delete them.What should I do? Since reinstalling the game wont remove old mods in the folder.I hope I haven't ruined my Sims 4 game ☹️Thank you in advance!

@crinrict I was able to create a new Sims 4 folder and I then made a separate folder in mods for SoL in which I extracted the files. I'm happy to tell that the game at least starts now (even if that means that I will start from scratch), I just need to check that the mod works within the game 🙂Thank you to both of you for your help! I almost thought that I had ruined my game!

@Otourd89 Did you close the game to delete the mod ?

Can you move the whole mods folder to the desktop ?

@crinrict Unfortunely that did not work either. I already tried to move the mods folder to the desktop, but the files in question cannot be moved ☹️

It also has to do with the incompatibility of the SOL mod and other mods.

@Otourd89The only thing i can ask you is: 'can you rename the \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder in '\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 old' or something like that?
If you can, then repair the game through Origin. When you did that test if your game works properly with a new family.
If it doesn't work, could you please attach a screenshot or screenshots of the content of your mod folder and especially the folder in which the mods are situated that, you stated, are marked with an 'x'?
May be that we then can have a better view of the problem.

I did run a repair in Origin, but that didn't help me launch the game.
Here are some screenshots of the contents of the folder. It is only those marked with 'x' left, since I can't delete them.
An error message appears that says that the file isn't available to be used on the computer and therefore can't be deleted.

@Otourd89Try deleting your localthumbcache.package file from the Sims 4 folder and then try deleting the rest of the SOL mods.

@Trismagistos I tried that one but it didn't work either ☹️ Here is what's left in the Sims 4 folder (the cache folder is empty and the cachestr folder contains one package file as shown in the screenshot):

@Otourd89 Why do you have so many temp files ? Did you create them or is that some mod that does that ?

The game is no longer running, right ? Have you tried restarting your computer ?
