Game crashing after update 1.124

Ever since the May 2026 update, my game keeps crashing randomly. I have no mods or anything extra installed,. It never did this before the update.

My game has very very rarely crashed in the past but since the May 2026 update it has crashed a few times. i don't play with mods or cc and i have repaired the game through the EA app. It's frustrating to lose hours of gameplay or to fear not saving every few minuets in anticipation.

• Type: DxDiag
• Click on Save all Information.
• Attach the Text File to your post

i have also updated my graphics driver, updated windows and cleared cache. 

Me too, since update May 12, 4080, clean game, new update, now crashes. I can't buy the new content with the game doing this. I've never had my game  crash like this before.  Oh and I've been playing for years. Not a newcomer. :)

I'm gutted. It's completely unplayable. The game just goes off within 20 minuets of playing, No error code, just takes me straight back to the ea app screen. I feel like I've done everything to try and fix it :( 

Since the new update my game has been crashing fairly often. I attached the DxDiag here. I keep thinking it's because I have too many chickens on my lot? 

My game keeps crashing whenever I save an apartment or lot in San myshuno in bulid mode in the world manger. I don't know if its doing it any other worlds. I'm trying to make a forever save, so I download a save file with all empty lots, so I could place lots from the gallery and make my own townies. My gameplay is fine, it seems. My bulid mod is also just generally really laggy, and like takes forever to load search or the item by category option. But even though thats laggy it doesn't crash my game, it's just me saving my lot after placing a lot down from the gallery. 

I don't have any bulid mode mods, and all my mods are up to date, unless they are unknown but as I've said my game runs fine in game mode and I only use gameplay mods. I have cc but I unsure if that would be the issue, the crashes have only been happening with lots from the gallery with no cc. 

If anyone has any suggestion, please tell me!! 

I'm having the same issue here. I'm a clean PC player. No mods or cc EVER. I can't take it, hoping I remember to save every 15 mins in case it crashes! I've verified all game files; there are no corruptions. I'm getting very frustrated. I hope this is fixed soon.

Update 2 days later: Still crashing every 20 mins or so. Or if you travel, then travel home, usually 5 mins later, guess what...crash. I've had to take a break from playing. I'm a somewhat seasoned player. Over 5,600 hours in PC gameplay alone. That's not counting Xbox time. Please fix this soon!

Update 7 days later: Thanks for the help puzzlezaddict​ . I think I have figured out my problem. This is my guess - I had too many items from too many different packs on one lot (the save I've been working on, I've been playing for 23 generations currently, so they have accumulated a lot of things over the years), and that was causing my game to overload and crash. I removed some things from various packs, and it isn't crashing nearly as much. I'm also thinking I need to upgrade my computer a bit, as I am running on a pretty basic setup.
