Cannot Open Sim 4 after Life and Death came out.

I have no mods in my game. I have un-installed and re-installed the game, I ran a repair and I even refreshed my folder. I still cannot open the game since the Life and Death pack came out. I would really like to be able to open the game and play my sims

@barefootedmama  Does this happen with nothing in the Sims 4 user folder other than what the game creates on its own?  As in, no saves, no mods or cc, no Tray files, etc.?  If not, please move this folder to the desktop, or rename it, and try again.

If that doesn't help, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  You'll be able to (try to) launch the game without reinstalling anything.

If you still can't play, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to launch Sims 4, specifically in the new account.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

@crinrict PC through the EA app. And no I get the the Sims4 scene right after it opens and it comes on screen and it freezes. Sometimes it plays the starting music other times there is no sound.

@barefootedmama  If you've installed ReShade or GShade, please remove it and repair the game (again).  You may be able to reinstall it, but make sure to download the DirectX 11 version, and test without it present first.

If you don't use ReShade/GShade, but you do have one or more Razer apps installed—Cortex, Chroma, Synapse, whatever—please remove them.  Here again, a reinstall may fix the issue, but please test Sims 4 without these apps present.

@puzzlezaddict I just got done making sure no reshade was left on my pc, still running into the same issue. So I just did a full wipe and got rid of everything including the EA app and then redownloaded everything. Restarting where necessary and I still cannot get it to open up past the loading screen.

@barefootedmama  Please try playing in a clean boot:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then leave that disabled or uninstall the relevant program.

Thank you @puzzlezaddict I have got it to where it will freeze on boot but if I end task and restart it will start and freeze on the sims loading screen. If I quit and restart that a few more times then it will boot up. It is rather frustrating but I hope EA or Sims will do a fix for it, cause it seems from reading the forums I am not the only one really experiencing something like this.
