Can't click on anything when the cursor is moving

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.46.18.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Move your cursor and click on something, doesn't matter what.
What happens when the bug occurs? Clicking won't work. The click sound happens but that's it.
What do you expect to see? The interaction menu.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Whenever I move the cursor and try to click on something, it doesn't do anything. I have to keep the cursor still, only then it will click and bring up the interaction menu. This never happened to me before!

    It is normal that nothing happens when you click but remove the cursor before letting go of the mouse button. It is treated as a cancellation. This is standard behavior in Windows.
