Can't Click on Sim.
Not sure if this is the right forum but I'm having issues with my Sims 4. :c Havent played in a while because I got Planet Zoo, but University came out so I decided to start playing again! -I updat...
This happened to me too. Stupid phone removed my text so I had to rewrite it, so I spologize if it seems a bit rushed 🙏🏻
At first I just couldn't click on my active sims but I could click on other sims (at least the other household members) but then it changed, so now I can't click on either of them. For some reason, if the active sim is a toddler, then I can still click on the active sim. If I remember correctly, I can still shift+click on sims.
I use mods. But I tried moving the mods folder out and removing that cache-thingy-file, but still no change.
You should also be aware that my computer is currently completely offline, meaning it's not connected to any wifi or using any data, as I am on vacation.
also, if you know of a way to solve this, please explain it in a way that even dummies can understand, because I can be pretty slow sometimes xD
EDIT: okay, so when I finally got home from the vacation, so now I have wifi. I didn't know if origin required wifi or not to repair a game so I let it be until I got home. So I let origin repair the game but it's still not working as it should.
so basically, all the stuff I've tried thus far is:
– restart the game (did that a couple of times)
– restart the computer (one of the times it caused my computer to completely shut down and I couldn't start it again until the next day)
– turned off mods in the game
– moved out the mods and put them back a few at a time
– moved out all the mods (and deleted that file like someone said)
– repair the game in origin
Should I try to uninstall the game and install it again?
Hey @1995Alli,
I would definitely try going through the steps in this link if you're running into potential issues with your mods.
If you're still having trouble after that point, please feel free to create a new thread if you're unable to find a more recent topic on the same issue.
This thread is quite old, so I'll be locking it here to prevent additional necro-posting. Thanks!
