Not sure if this is the right forum but I'm having issues with my Sims 4. :cHavent played in a while because I got Planet Zoo, but University came out so I decided to start playing again!-I updated Origin and Sims4 because of the new patch. Updated my mods. Got University in the bundle pack they offer. Downloaded.-Made a new sim. Immediately when loading in, I couldn't click on my own sim.I could click on npcs, objects, I can also shift-click my sim but not regularly click on her to bring up the wheel. -I've taken my mods folder out, put it back in, got rid of some mods.(* be in mind my mods are from the bigger named creators like Sacraficial, LittleMsSam, KawaiiStacie, and etc)-i restarted my laptop, loaded back in and its still not working. I used the repair tool on Origin as well.Still not working, please help ☹️

@kreatora @jpkarlsen Thank you so much for getting back to me!I had updated my mods before even running the Sims 4 thats why I didn't understand why it wasnt working, but after moving the folder and deleting the cache folders like you told me it worked! Kinda odd that I had to do that but I'm just glad its working again. 🙂 thank you so much!

@lilbeannsprout Do you have any Mods or CC? If so move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

@lilbeannsproutMost scripts mods and a lot of CC after the last patch are no longer compatible with the game. CC Tubs/Showers confirmed as broken. Beds, bookcases, and showers by Peacemaker are affected by the patch, remove any bookcases or bed by him until they are fixed. Some of the CC objects from building mode probably are broken by this patch also.MCC was updated yesterday the second time. Kawai all mods need to be updated. The same applies to UIC mod, Sacrafcial mods. More CAS Columns mod, Zerbu mods, Little Ms. Sim mods and so on... So if you have any mods or CC1. Move the mods folder to the desktop.2. Find and delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. Delete also all folders with the word "cache" in the name.3. Fix the game in Origin.Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.4. Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if the game is working now properly without mods5. Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using. (UIC and MCC there are new versions.Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if the game is OK.Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)I don't work for EA

I've never had this problem until just now. I aged up my child to a teen and went into CAS to change her outfits. When I came back out of CAS I suddenly couldn't click on my sims anymore. I do have mods, but as I said, the game was running fine until I came out of CAS, then it suddenly didn't work anymore.
EDIT:
I tried restarting but that didn't help, so I kept playing, just having to live with not being able to send my sims go jogging or having to change using a dresser. Also nobody talked to anyone for a while, but thanks to parenthood I got a pop-up. After that was dealt with everything worked again, I could click on my own sims again. Super weird

I had a similar issue like that and I solved it by traveling with my Sim to another lot. After that it worked again.

How do you update your mods and take out, or fix the broken mods? Idk how to do that at all. How do you do that the correct way exactly?

???? Hello? Idk how to do any of that at all. And it dont allow me to click on my sim at all. Idk what I do wrong but I know something aint right because I want to have my sim talk to my wife about having another sim carry our baby for us and it seems like I have to click on my sim after I make my other sim agree to it..... But isnt there any other way I can do that besides only clicking on my sim?? Idk what mods are even broken and Idk how to fix them or how to update mods or how to fix my mods I need help with all of that and with everything. How do I do everything the right way exactly? I dont wanna have to start all over again. I am way too far now.....

@Mauzawa Hey I am like that too I hope someone can help me with my questions and I can be slow and need help badly with everything and there is nothing wrong with being slow at understanding things I just need a long explanation with words and things I can understand because I am dumb since my whole life I always been called a sped and slow and * because I was in special education but I am not the R word it just takes me time and time again to finally understand how and what to do never talk down on yourself. I used to do that but Nobody no matter what or who they are or how smart they are will ever be above us and we are all people with feelings all born equal so can someone please help me I am stressing out because I cant click on my sim and I do not know how to do any of that like fixing my mods and updating them and knowing how to find or fix anything broken and to fix all my mod folder anyone help me thanx
