What is your current game version number? 1.54.120.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Kids Room Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, My First Pet Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Toddler Stuff

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After the update for Moschino stuff pack came out.

Unable to connect to the internet to open gallery, I've uninstalled the game, uninstalled origin and I've tried everything from troubleshooting to turning off and restarting my network. It refuses to work. I use to be able to get on perfectly fine but since I updated the game for the newest pack, it refuse to connect to the internet even though my origin is connected.

    I assume you have a Win10 system
This is the EA advice given to another user in a similar case:
Hold down the Windows Key and press X.
    Click Administrator: Windows Powershell.
When the command prompt opens, type ipconfig/flushdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Once you complete this please complete the following steps mentioned below and your issue should be resolved.
Open the Start menu and search for msconfig.
    Click on System Configuration.
    Click the Services tab.
Check the box to Hide all Microsoft Services, then click the Disable All button.
Click on the Startup tab, then click on Open Task Manager.
It can take a few seconds for the Task Manager list to load.
Click each of the Startup programs in the list then click the Disable button.
    Close the Task Manager window.
Click OK on the System Configuration window to save your changes, then restart your computer.
Once you restart your computer, try launching your game again.

@kreatora Hello! Thank you so much for your help. It worked!! Sorry I'm only now getting back to you. I haven't been on here in a while to give people time to message and try and help. But thank you so much. It works and I can now share my sims and builds perfectly fine. Thank you so much for your help.

The problem is that Origin changes after updates, your computer is changing, and there are no perfect fixes to this type of problem. What worked a year ago, it no longer works today and you have to look for new solutions.

    For now, this can works:
Open Origin /My game library - right-click on the cover of TS4 - option repair game

  • Hi, should this technique still work? (I know that certain techniques don't work anymore after a certain time). I'm trying to go into the gallery to post old houses from my older laptop so that I can always access them; the gallery and online activity works perfectly on my other laptop (It's the same wifi and connection). Therefore, I know the problem is either coming from Origin or Sims4 on this one. I also have a Windows10 system and I've done all the other small steps such as repairing the game, updates (Origin+Sims) and correcting the time but nothing worked, once I saw the infamous red "X's" from the gallery, and then it went back to my "Connect or Stay Offline Problem" (Where the "Connect" shows the Error Message). So I am now hesitating between this technique and/or clearing the cache (which did nothing for many people in many other Answer HQ) on the other hand, this technique has seemed to work for a few.

  • Wow this works! I thought I was gonna break my new computer I have never done coding so I was scared but this worked right away. Thank you! And my computer is good.

  • I followed this word for word, but it didnt work and now my EA app is broken how do I reverse it?
