Can't play dlc offline

OK um this has never happened to me before as I've played offline alot but now it's acting odd. I have no internet rn only data on my phone. My origin has been acting super odd, crashing, not starting, etc but I chalked it up to no internet. Well I finally got the game to start up and ALL MY DLC was just poof grayed out as if I didn't own it and I can't play any of it. I own all the dlc and I'm extremely upset that I can't play with it. What do I do? It doesn't make sense that I have to be online suddenly in order to use dlc. All the dlc is properly installed to. Even when it loads and finally shows I own the dlc again when I click on the play button it only shows the 3 base game worlds and says basically nahh you don't own any other worlds. And if get it to show the neighborhoods finally guess what? ALL MY PROGRESS IS GONE. Completely fricking gone. I'm honestly so done with ea rn. I've heard this has been an issue for some people for awhile and ea just doesn't seem to actually want to fix their broken game. Too busy making bugged dlc for us to buy.

  • @skippyjon  What happens if you temporarily use your phone as a mobile hotspot, then login to Origin in online mode?  Sometimes it only takes one online login to "remind" Origin that you own everything.

Before you try this though, please copy the pack folders to a second location on your hard drive.  They're inside the folder that contains the Sims 4 program files (the folder in Program Files (x86)\Origin Games), and each pack you own has its own folder, labeled by type of pack and release order.  For example, the folder for Seasons is EP05 because Seasons is expansion pack 5.  You can ignore the pack subfolders inside the Delta folder; that's not the same data.

It's possible Origin will delete all these pack files and try to make you redownload them.  (Hopefully not, I'm just saying it does happen.)  But you can pause the download and copy back the folders.  When you resume the download, Origin should verify the presence of those folders instead of redownloading them.  It might repair, but that should be it.

Once you launch the game while online, you should be able to go back to playing while offline.
