Can't play on old households - only make new ones...

So, I have this very weird problem.. I've been playing Sims 4 in Origin for many years and yesterday I wanted to play again after a long break.. Origin and Sims made an update, and now there is only a play button in my main menu in Sims - so, when I push the play button, I get directly into making a simmer - and there is no other opportunities, which means that I can't play on the households I've all ready made.. I tried to make a simmer and put it into a house, leave it and then go to the household I made yesterday to play on that one, but when I push the apartment (which I used many hours on building), it is empty and there is no family - and yes, I did save it before I closed the game - I've been googling all night and can't find any answers to my problem.. It doesn't really make any sense to play it, when I can't play on the households I've all ready made.. REALLY HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP!

    Do you use OneDrive ? Not for the game. Because the computer using Onedrive lately after the update had tendency to transfer the TS4 saves folder to OneDrive. Several such cases have been reported. Unfortunately, it could not be recovered.

    No, I don’t use OneDrive.. I’ve tried to Update, repair and so on the game, re-installed as well...

    Is your "saves" folder empty or do you have files from the previous game in this folder?

    Edit: 

    Take just any sim and start a new game. After a minute, save the the game "save as" option.
    Exit the game and go back again. Select the "load saved gre" option - if you saved the previous saves "save as"  - this option should show them

    When I get to the main menu, I don’t even have the opportunity to choose “saves” - but I Can see all my households in the gallery, just can’t play it - it is very weird.. I’ve tried to make a simmer and save it as “save as” - and then the main Manu was normal - but when I opened the game again, it was just like before again...

    @Signesms

    This happens when you start a new game and create a household but do not place them in the world. To solve create a household and place it in the world then save the game. The load game button will be there again.

    Well, I did place Them in an apartment and played for hours, then saved as and so on...

    Are you using any mods and CC?

    Do you have the "saves" folder in the game folder? To check it: 
    Go to MenuStart / Documents / Electronic Arts - inside is The Sims4 folder. In this folder you should have "saves" folder. Check if it is there. Check if this saves folder is empty or not
