Can't play sims 4 trial

I've wanted to play the Sims 4 for a while now but I was never sure if I'd enjoy it so I was reluctant to buy the game so I decided to try the trial version.

Everything was fine, the installation process was okay but it was when I tried to open the game itself.

It showed a pop up saying "we could not activate DisplayName field missing from registry" and it makes me sign into my ea account (that I'm already signed into) and when I close out of that and go to origin another pop up appears saying "The Sims 4 trial has already been played on this computer"

I've never played Sims 4 on this computer and especially not the trial. I'm the only person with access to this computer so I'm not sure why it's saying this, can someone help me please?

    @SarahLaw  You could try contacting EA customer support and asking someone to reset the trial for you.  Or you could just make a second Origin account and run the trial in that.  The trial should be dependent on the account, not the computer, or at least that's how it used to work.
