Friday night I played Sims 4 and it was working perfectly fin but yesterday, Saturday night I tried playing and the "Play" button and it was all grayed out and I couldn't press on it. I have tried everything and have googled so much stuff but I cant get it to work. I tried clearing my cache folder but nothing is in it even though I un-hid everything. I cant find any detailed instructions and I'm probably not doing it right.
Try these:
The Play button in Origin is gray
Make sure your game is updated to the newest version (see above). If that is the case and the play button is still gray, try the following things (or any combination of it)

I've just had this problem. It was really frustrating but I've managed to fix it.
I went to the top of the origin page, clicked origin, clicked exit. It said I shouldn't close the app with a game open. Did it anyway and it's sorted it for me!
