Can't resurrect my sim

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Get to work , Get togheter , City living, cats & dogs , seasons. Game packs: Vampires
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? My sim died from overheating from the sims 4 seasons expansion pack and can not get resurrected by ambrosia , remove trait cheats.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim cant get resurrected and will forever be as a ghost playable sim
What do you expect to see? A sim that you can control but who is still a ghost
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
So my girlfriend have had a problem with her the sims 4. Her sim died from overheating in the new expansion seasons and she has been trying to resurrect her sim for quite some time now, I have tried and helped her by googeling but I couldn't find a solution to the problem. I will list all the things we have tried now. and yes the ghost she is trying to resurrect is a part of her household so it dosent go back to its urn.
What we have tried:
Using the remove trait cheat both all trais and 1 trait (with testingcheats on , we have dubble checked it at least 10 times)
Had the sim move to another household and eat ambrosia there, both sitting and standing up.
Had the sim move to another household and back to the original household and sitting / standing eating ambrosia
Have had the sim go to a community lot and had it standing and eating ambrosia.
She has no CC and no mods.
She says the book of life dosen't work because she can't ''capture the epic saga'' on that specific sim since he had already died and I have tried but i can't seem to get that option either to capture it's epic saga thingy for the book of life. So I guess the book of life is out of the question.
When the sim died my girlfriend had no CC or mods. (The sim is a teen if that helps?)
Apparently you can't clone teens with the science career as I read on the internet.
When the sim finishes eating the ambriosa he does the resurrection animation but does not turn into a human again.
Please help, we don't know what to do at this point.
- It's possible that the cheat was disabled but ambrosia should work so I'll test that part.
If you're not opposed to mods, try twistedMexis cheat fix mod and see if the cheat works with that.
