    It's possible that the cheat was disabled but ambrosia should work so I'll test that part.

    If you're not opposed to mods, try twistedMexis cheat fix mod and see if the cheat works with that.

My Sim was not a vampire. I did eventually figure out the cheat, like megthemuffin mentions below.
