Can't scroll with trackpad
I just got a PC, downloaded the Sims 4 and launched a new game. In CAS, two finger scrolling will allow me to zoom in and out on my Sim, but won't let me scroll down the list of clothes/accessories/e...
@Simesthesia One step you didn't mention was disabling any overlays you have running: Steam, Discord, etc. You can try disabling Origin in-game too: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.
If that doesn't help, try playing in a clean boot:

You'll still need to go through the Task Manager's background processes list after restarting—some programs don't get disabled in a clean boot, for whatever reason. So you'll have to manually shut down anything that doesn't absolutely need to be running.
If none of that helps, the issue may in fact be an incompatibility. At this point, you've done everything else that someone might suggest.

So your solution is to disable literally every single app running, including the app that launched TS4? Tell me you don't have a clue.... directly.
That is not my "solution," that is a step in the diagnostic process. As in, disable every other app possible, test, and if the problem is gone, start reenabling apps until it returns. If the problem is still present with all apps disabled, then it's not caused by those apps and it's time to look elsewhere. It's a very simple diagnostic concept that most people understand without needing it to be spelled out to them.
Having said that, this thread is somewhat old, so I'll lock it here.
