So my problem is: before I could switch between sims who were on active career duty (doctor) to those who were at home, and back. Now (after re-installing the game after long break) my sim at work does not have the option for switching ("lightning" icon). Instead it shows "two people" icon with standard "socialize", "work hard", "take it easy" options. Is there a solution to this? My game version is 1.25.136.1020.

And you could before ? Pretty sure that was never an option cause send alone works the same way non-active careers do.

Just to be sure, you don't mean to switch between to active careers but only to home and back to the same one ?

I can still do that in my game so are you using any mods ?

I too cannot reproduce what you're describing. I have a Sim in the doctor career, actively on the hospital lot, and a Sim at home, and there is a lightning bolt available on the Sim at home, with a "Switch Control" interaction available.

You mentioned you're on version 1.25.136, can you try updating your game? 1.26.96 is the most recent version, so maybe that'll fix your issue for you. 🙂

yes, I can't switch home and back (I don't have anyone with active career except this one sim).

I have some custom created content (by me) which are paintings, t-shirts and etc. Nothing game-changing.

Are you playing a fresh save or an existing one ?

I'm using old save, which I've had before the city life expansion. Also I had some other mods then, which I didn't install this time.

yea, sure. Also I have my current sim at 10 level in doctor career and I wonder if that can cause problem. Anyways I'll try with new save and post the results.

created a completely new save - same results.

I also did this: when sim was going to active career I followed her, and then I was able to switch back to household members. But above the icon of the career sim an exclamation mark kept popping and when she returned home all her needs were yellow and close to red, like she was standing on the same spot where I left her till the work-day ended.

The red exclamation mark has always been there when you switch to the a Sim at home from am active career.

I'm now confused.

What can't you do ? Switch back to the career ?

the thing is, that when my sim goes to work there is "join sim" option. If I join then I can switch with no problem. But if I press "send alone" instead I can't switch to that sim later while she's at work.
