can't type in sims 4 at all

i can't type in sims 4 at all (cas, cheats, gallery) basically everything. I've tried downloading and uninstalling on steam, ea and epic. I've tried the overlay method from previous replies, nothing works. And the weirdest thing is since i'm using a 65 keyboard, i could only type numbers but not alphabets, this keyboard works perfectly fine on other games. (no cc on sims 4 as well) 

How can I fix this problem? it is very frustrating.

    @redbeanies  Are you saying you can only type numbers in Sims 4, or that even numbers don't work?  What language layout is your keyboard currently using, and does it help to switch to English?

    @puzzlezaddict thanks for the reminder, after multiple tries I finally found out my pc will automatically switched the language input when i play TS4 hence that's the reason I couldn't type at all. It just never crossed my mind since it has there's no issue when playing other games. thanks for the help!

    All I have in this new game is one house and one business. I barely got my foot in the door.

    I repaired and it's working but this is the second time I've seen this happen in the last week I guess.
