I recently bought a new laptop and quickly installed Sims 4 off Origin as I was eager to download new CC (clothing and hair) and play the game, however, I placed the CC into the Mods folder (Documents> Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>Mods) and none of it showed up in CAS, nor was it recognized in the panel that lets you view the mods and CC. I have clicked the box that allows the game to use mods and CC, none of the CC is in subfolders or zip files, and the resource.cfg file is in the Mods folder. Can you help?

Could you start a save game and save it and then check if it gets saved to the saves folder in documents\electronicarts\thesims4\ or if maybe the game is using a different folder (like on your onedrive for example) ?

Did you restart your computer after ticking the options ?

I restarted the game, then later restarted my computer when that didn't work.

Side note: I had installed Sims 4 on my old laptop (now uninstalled) and CC worked perfectly fine, but it doesn't seem to work on this one.

It does seem to be saving the files to OneDrive as well as the hard drive. I tried deleting the files off OneDrive and opening Sims again but the files popped up again. Do you think that's what is causing the issue? If so, how can I get it to stop?

I made Documents stop syncing to OneDrive and it worked!! Thank you for suggesting that this might be the issue.

Glad it did.

The other option would have been to just upload the cc files to your onedrive instead of the local folder.

I'm having the same problem, and I've tried what you said, but it didn't work. I do not have OneDrive, so it's not uploading to there. Am I missing something? I've had this problem for a few months and I can't seem to make it go away no matter what I try. Thank you!
