So, this is for anyone else that may come across this thread since there seems to be several solutions for this issue. I've read through most of the responses in this thread and after trying a few of the suggestions, I can say that deleting the CC objects (in the game, not necessarily the mods folder) that initially were "invisible" when placed fixed the issue for me. This is after I tried the ModConflict detector software, reset game folders, deleted any Pilar packages, etc. I went through each cc furniture item in my game deleting one at a time and checking live mode after every item to see if it was fixed. Eventually I figured out it was a bench I had on my lot (the ARYA rustic hallway bench.) The issue was fixed immediately in game. I didn't have to restart or dump all my CC. So, before going through everything, maybe just start with deleting any cc sofas, then move on to the rest of the furniture one by one to see if that works. If not, downloading Mod Conflict Detector from Modthesims may help find corrupt cc files. Make sure to double check that all the files are for your game (like no Sims 3 files in your sims 4 folder)
