Children/Teenagers leaving for school but reappearing at home?

Hi everyone!

I have tried searching to see if anyone else has this issue, but I cannot find anything on it. 

My child/teenage sims often leave to go to school, but then seconds later reappear outside the home and I end up getting notifications saying they aren't at school. Currently I have a family with 6 children and this is getting extremely tedious to have to send them all back to school again almost every single day.

At first I thought it was to do with the pool on the property, so I locked the entrance to that, then I thought perhaps it was the monkey bars (as they would often appear on these objects after they came back home), so I took them away too, but unfortunately it keeps happening ☹️

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix? or at least why this keeps happening? Should also add their needs are all well met, and all A/B students so there's no clear reason this should keep occurring!
