@roberta591I just want to go over a few things that really stood out to me in your reply. Please note that i am not trying to be rude at all, if I come off that way I do deeply apologize. Before I address what you said though I would love to say that you are making it seem like you need an actual computer that says "gaming' on it to run the sims 4 and yes only the sims 4. The system requirements on any website even EA do not say you need a gaming computer to run the sims 4 which is why in my search for a computer I do not put the word "gaming" in front of each type of computer I search, it is unnecessary. Now i will address some things you have said. Again I am saying this as nice as possible and I am sorry if it does not seem like it 🙂
"There is no I just play (name of 3D graphical game)." Actually there is a such thing as that, I am an example as well as many others who are not into computer gaming and don't feel like they want to play several games on their computer when they can easily get an xbox or other console to play those games. I am the person who literally only plays the sims 4, trust me it is possible XD. My old computer has been with me for about a year now and all I play is the sims 4 because I don't even like playing games on the computer so I will never find myself getting anything else. The games I play are on my xbox one, not my computer because it is not my cup of tea. The sims 4 is my exception.
"To get good performance and enjoy the games you need a computer that can run the software." which is why ea and many others have system requirements on their websites to let us know what the game requires to run and be enjoyable. These websites are what i used to do my search for a computer so if it does not work then most likely the requirements websites are all a lie. I posted this question just to get confirmation that I was not crazy and this could be the computer for me lol. I am a bit paranoid especially when i am willing to pay so much money. My computer as i have said is pretty lame and does not meet requirements yet it still runs, what does that tells me? It is not that complicated to find a computer to play the sims on ultra settings with amazing graphics etc. Even on my crappy computer I have 3 expansion packs installed and it still runs which makes this computer I was hoping to buy make even more sense to me.
"For what many people spend on a AIO, you can get a descent desktop that can be updated as technology advances." That is understandable but i have stated that I know little to nothing about computers so some recommended desktops would be awesome since when doing my search and looking up "desktop computers" and then filtering the required processor, ram and graphics card the one I linked came up so I don't know, it should work hopefully XD.
"Most people don't "plan" on running 3D games but they really want to play this one game and then 6 months from now there's this new game I really want to play" This 100% does not relate to me. The sims 4 is the only computer game I have ever played for years on computers before this one I am even typing on now. When I say the sims 4 is the only game I will play I actually mean it lol. I know this is not a gaming computer which is why I am going for this one, I don't have any intent to download several other games. I'm not a computer gamer so I don't need any other games.
"If your in for one you have to be in for all." I mean, that is simply not true lol. People have preferences and because I love one type of game and only want to play that one does not mean I have to play other games that are not my type. I am not a fan of computer gaming as I have said so I dont play games on my computer except the sims 4 because its amazing XD
"I'm not trying to be rude but I have seen all too many people buy a computer for student/business and find out it doen't play 3D games well." Same here, I don't want to be rude either just pointing out how some of what you said really stood out to me and seemed off. I get what you are saying but 9 times out of 10 those people did not have any gaming in mind so they did not bother looking up the system requirements for the games they wanted to play which resulted in having a computer that did not run the 3d game well which is what happened to me except I had no job so i had too buy what i could without thinking about system requirements.
I do appreciate your feedback but i hope you can somehow understand my purpose of getting this computer, just for the sims 4. That was my question, not if it will work with other games XD or if it is a gaming computer. Trust me, I love only the sims 4 as a computer game, nothing else so I don't plan or see myself playing anything else. I just want one computer to use for my everyday task as well as run only the sims 4 on ultra settings. That's it. If you do have any recommended desktops that run the sims 4 really well I would appreciate it, as long as they are 1k and under. Thanks 🙂
