Phaewalker Please test with no mods or custom content and see whether the game works. You don't need to save your progress. Or maybe you'll want to play the event in a new save, with no mods or cc present, and then go back to your main save when you're done for the week.
If you don't want the event showing at all, disable Online Social Features, in Options > Game Options > Other, then delete accountDataDB.package in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. (This will also delete your progress on the various tasks if you haven't completed week 1 of the event.) To see the event again, reenable Online Social Features.
