Corrupted save fix?

Does anyone have a fix for accessing the following saved as:

slot_00000002 6.save

if i remove the “space 6,” it turns into a previous save from long ago.

i suppose this is what I get for not shutting down at night. It’s odd that it leave the house in the saved state (big fire), but all of the characters that died are still alive and a life stage behind.

    That is very strange. Have you tried giving it a completely different number (none of the ones you have) on all those saves to see if any of them are current ?

    Yup, no dice. I ended up just playing it from the old save. The weird part is that it saved all of the updates to the houses, but not the family.

    I would do a clean save as in this status and then move all the other files out of the folder.

    Might be a mac issue but that's up to @Bluebellflora if she has more ideasl
