Game Crashes During Launch

Hello! I've been having the issue where I start the game up and it crashes almost immediately, during the first loading screen before the menus. It crashes back to the EA app and gives the "failure on our end" message.

I have no mods. I have done a clear folder attempt. Cleared the cache. Repaired the game. Added exceptions to my firewall. Made sure all drivers are up to date. Done a clean install of DirectX. Uninstalled and reinstalled Sims 4. Did the same, again, for the game and for the EA app. Made a separate admin logon.

The first time I tried that, I got the game to load and it immediately popped up with an unrecognized graphics card message, but did not crash. I was able to go back to my main account and play for a short while. A few days later (I did not attempt to play again during that time) and it continues doing the crash to app, on both my primary and separate admin account. A few times I am able to get into a save file but before a first task can be completed, the game freezes and crashes back to the app again.

I'm exhausted. I just want to play the game. Attached is my DxDiag.

I forgot to add, I checked my OneDrive to make sure it was off and decided to uninstall it entirely since I don't use it. I have also gone in and added -dx9. I have disabled the Windows Game Bar and Game Mode. Disabled the EA app overlay. Attempted in offline mode. Between steps I always make sure to fully close the EA app and also end the EA background operations in the task manager. I am not part of Windows Insider Build.

Yes I've gone through the list multiple times.

  • I fixed it, deleted corrupted files and set graphics to high performance.

  • After 5 hours of digging into this, I found it, might be useful to other people. There was a recursive loading loop triggered by a python script meeting a dead end from the EA App installing to the Onedrive folder extension despite Onedrive being long since disabled and uninstalled. It took a little registry editing to redirect the folders outside of the onedrive directories but the game appears to be firing up properly now. (I would now like the last 5 hours of my life back and code fatigue to be taken away, thanks)

It fired up once, allowed me to create a new Sim (still no mods, just the packs I've purchased), before beginning to crash again, earlier and earlier in the boot process until it was once again crashing before getting to the main menu.

The culprit is still that python file and it appears the SimulationFullBuild0.package is only 24MB when it should be more than a GB. No amount of fully removing the game, the app, and every single trace of it from my computer before attempting to reinstall has worked in A) making that file the correct size or B) making the game launch successfully.

I have fully exhausted everything. Help. Please. I just want to play the game. x_x
