What happens when the bug occurs? Create a sim doesn't load the actual automated sim or any others you try to create

Create a sim doesn't load the actual automated sim or any others you try to create (although you can still click the 'x' icon and cancel their story or leave create a sim) and sometimes even crashes the game. I already tried resetting the game but this didn't work. Here are some screenshots
