Sims 4 keeps crashing when scrolling from room to room or sim to sim
this has been a problem for a while, here is all what i did but the problem persisted: updated my sims game, it is the latest version now checked my drivers, all up to date repaired and reinstalled the game, deleted cache updated mods, removed a few others played with no mods fully reset my game uninstalled a few expansion packs set all my graphic options as low, including resolution, textures, and laptop mode tried every possible solution, but my game still seems to crash, specifically when im scrolling from one room to the other or fast shifting my camera from one sim to the other. It freezes for a few seconds then force closes entirely here are my device information: Windows 11 HP envy laptop Intel IRIS(XE) graphics intel core i7 16gb ram, 1TB storage directX12 i used to have a laptop with the exact same requirements just less storage and ram and the game worked perfectly on it, so at this point im not sure what im missing This started to happen when sims rolled out the life and death quests Any help appreciated Thanks!Strange graphical bug
For some reason there has been this strange graphical bug on the Sims 4 that I haven't noticed till now. I've listed some examples down bellow. This graphical bug is present in the game without ANY mods or scripts, and I've even rolled back drivers to see if that would fix anything, which did nothing. Basically what happens is that any sims with a body type bigger than the default one have a strange transparency issue when the Sim is in front of certain things, like the skybox or any object with transparency in them I have no idea how to fix this, and it seems no one else mentioned this. Seemingly by looking through my screenshots, this happened sometime in March with an updateMy graphic card is not detected by the game
Hi ! I recently bought a new pc with a NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070 but I had a message from the game when i launch it which said that it didn't detected the graphic card. The game still work but it's way more slow and low quality than before. The older one was a NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4050 but it used to work perfectly and high quality. I tried some advice i found online like personalize the graphic card option for the game as "high perfomance" but nothing change. I also checked in the Config.log folder and i finally had the confirmation that it's not found by the game. So i'm a little bit lost... If someone has an idea, I really want to hear it ! Hi, I'm looking for a laptop that will be able to run the sims 4 on high medium to high ultra graphics with reshade and cc plus mods and most of the add on packs. Below I attached 3 laptops I am considering, but would like to have someone who has experience or knowledge with the specs, most importantly the graphics card, to let me know whether the laptops below will be able to run the sims on the graphics settings I mentioned. A- NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3050 6GB, B- NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4060 6GB, C- INTEL UHD GRAPHICS. My budget is limited, I would also like to use this laptop for my university work. Budget would be R22 000/$824-ish. Please note that I am in South Africa, and prices for our gaming laptops are usually more expensive than they would be in the UK/US.96Views0likes4CommentsSims 4 does not recognize my RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (unrecognized GPU)
Hello, I'm having an issue where The Sims 4 does not recognize my dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU 6GB). It shows as an unrecognized GPU in-game, and performance is significantly worse than before. Here’s some background: - My system used to run the game just fine with the RTX 3050 recognized correctly. - After not playing for around a month, I reinstalled the game and now it no longer detects my GPU. - In Device Manager, my GPU is listed under Display Adapters and says “This device is working properly.” - I checked the "ConfigOverride" folder, and there's no `DeviceConfig.log`. I manually added a `GraphicsCards.sgr` with the line for 25EC (my GPU's PCI ID), but it didn’t fix the problem. What I’ve tried: - Clean reinstall of The Sims 4 via EA App - Installed the latest NVIDIA drivers (clean install) - Set the game to use High Performance GPU via NVIDIA Control Panel - Tried both windowed and fullscreen mode - Removed all mods and ran game vanilla My specs: - GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU 6GB (PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_25EC) - CPU: Intel i5 12th Gen - RAM: 12 GB - OS: Windows 11 Any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm not sure where else to ask for some advice on this issue, and i may need guidance on trying to figure out how to hopefully resolve this. the issue: sims 4 will crash at random times, or even crash/blue screen my pc. my pc is brand new cyberpowerpc that is meant for gaming. i only have these issues when playing sims 4, so i figured it may be a direct cause. this happens with or without mods/cc. i have tried clean reinstalls, new saves, and even reinstalling my graphics drivers. my current graphics driver is NVIDIA's geforce game ready driver version 577.00 and it is up to date. i also checked my computer for ram issues, additional driver updates, and for repairs... everything seemed fine but i could be missing something. sims 4 is also "optimized" in the graphic driver's settings, but unsure if i need to adjust something else.116Views2likes7CommentsMy screen keeps breaking
I’ve tried multiple things now to fix my issue but I can’t seem to figure anything out. After the update my game has been fine everywhere else except for actually playing. I removed all mods so that’s not the issue. As well a repairing the game. I’m not sure what to do now please help, If anyone has and recommendations please share! The pic shows what I mean!Solved
