Game no longer recognizing my graphics card out of nowhere
This started a few days ago, just hours after playing without issue. I've tried to boot up the game, and get this message every time: I've tried just about every piece of advice I could find online, and nothing has worked. The game refuses to recognize the graphics card on my laptop after running it just fine for months. No other game installed on my laptop has this issue, even other Origin games. I think it has something to do with my card not being on the Graphics Cards.sgr file, but the instructions I found for adding it to the file were confusing/incomplete.SIMS 4 in white screen while starting
I bought a new hp laptop victus for sims 4 and it seems that while it is starting, it goes on infinite white screen. I have rtx 4060 14th gen i5 and 16gm ram. Please help me :(. I updated all the drivers and put my sims 4 in display setting in high performance as well as turning off optimization for windowed gamesGraphics Won't Display
Today I got a message that said something along the lines of my graphics being out of date. I played as recently as last week and I didn't have any issues with graphics. I don't know what steps to take. Currently, when I load the game, I can only see the bar at the bottom with the sim's information. The rest of the screen still displays the graphics from the loading page.Suggestion for PC and monitor
I know that so many people have asked for recommendations before, but I want to make sure I’m not buying something too fancy I won’t need or something not good enough. I want to invest in a pc for playing sims 4 with basic mods, possibly some custom content and pretty much all packs and additions. No other games other than maybe internet browsing and YouTube. I’ve got a pretty good chunk of disposable income. I’ve previously played on dell laptops and MacBooks, but these are notoriously bad for graphics, glitching and gameplay lag. My budget is $2-5k for both monitor and pc combined. Can someone recommend a good monitor and pc? Prebuilt preferably.Game freezes, crashes or both.
Hello there! I'm writing this as my last resort because I don't know what to do anymore. About two weeks ago, I upgraded from MAC to PC. I transferred my save file and all mod and cc I had been using to the new PC. The only new thing added to my game was gshade since I couldn't use it before. I have never been able to play my game in this PC. (GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5070 Ti). Every time I play the game, it crashes from 5 minutes to 20 minutes into the game. Crashes out of nowhere are rare, what usually happens is that my game freezes, I can't click anything but I hear sound effects like something is happening, even though I can't see it. If I click on the windows key and try to go to the game again, it either crashes or the screen turns completely white with sound effects in the background like before until it eventually crashes. I've tried updating every mod (even though in my MAC they still work fine), I uninstalled gshade, I took my mods folder out, created a new save, tried an older one, the game remains just the same. It runs for 20 minutes tops and it seems that mods or cc are not the issue since I tried to play in a clean save. I also tried repairing the game, and still it did not work. The same issue remains. I haven't had a PC in a good 5 years so I think I might be forgetting something system related. As of now, I made sure the HDMI cable is connected to my GPU, and I also selected the graphic's card on the graphic settings for the game to make sure it doesn't use my motherboard at all. I checked the drivers for my graphics card through the system and it says it's updated. My fangs also seem to be working well, and the RGB on my RAM is on so I'm assuming it's also working as intended atm. I have 32 GB of RAM. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. And if anyone else is having this problem or there's a suspicion that it's an EA thing and not a build thing, please also tell me. If I don't find any solutions I might just return the PC since the game it's working perfectly fine on my laptop/MAC. Is this a good call? Idk290Views0likes15CommentsLighting flickering in build mode
Hello, It started about a week ago. I tried everything I could think of. My whole screen starts to flicker black at a particular zoom level. I have seen forum threads on that issue, but only for Macs and I am on Windows and can't edit my GraphicsRules.sgr file (If I edit it using Notepad it saves as a .txt file no matter what I do). It only happens in build mode from what I've seen, in both Sims 3 and Sims 4 camera. I took videos with the game's built-in recording tool, I had to convert them from .avi to .mp4 to be able to post them here but you can still see the flickering on both. I can't play like this, as the flashing gives me instant headaches. If anyone can help I would be so grateful. My laptop freezes while playing with dx11
Hello! I have heard that playing with DX11 increases performance and reduces lag for the sims 4 and I wanted to test it and play with DX11. Unfortunately, whenever I play with DX11, at random time the laptop freezes completely with no way to exit the game with shortcuts. I do not have this problem with DX9. My video card is Nvidia Geforce GTX 3050. I am attaching my DxDiag file..44Views0likes6CommentsI don't even know what to call this
Basically, i just turned my pc back on after a few months of not using it and when i started my sims this is what i was met with. I had already deleted all of my cc and mods before ghosting the game for a few month so i know it has nothing to do with the mods or cc because i have none. I'm not sure if it's just me or if anyone has ever had this happen but i would appreciate some help:)Hair glitching when I have Edge Smoothing turned off
Hi. I upgraded to a PowerSpec G525 Gaming PC a few days ago. I play TS4 with DX11. My AMD graphics are up to date. After downloading TS4 I've been experiencing graphics issues I have never had before. One of the biggest issues is that when I have edge smoothing turned off in CAS my Sim's hair will start glitching. Pixels flash wildly in and out (making it hard to take screenshots of the issue). It doesn't happen as often if I'm fully zoomed out. This will happen even if I have zero CC or mods installed. I did think this issue was caused by CC nails at first because it would happen every time I would apply them, but even after I took all of my mods out and did a full reinstall of my game this is still happening. It wasn't happening on my last computer. Possibly related, I've also noticed that when I zoom out in live-mode clothing will have weird lines around seams in the mesh (I can share photos if necessary, but I'm not sure if it's related to my main problem at all since it happens even with Edge Smoothing on). This wasn't happening on my last computer. Any ideas what this could be from and how I can fix it? I don't want to turn edge smoothing on since I'd like to download Reshade eventually. Attached are screenshots of what it looks like when the pixels flash out.
