Hi,
I haven't played Sims 4 for a few years, have downloaded again via Origin and everytime I click play or double tap The Sims 4 icon it just loads the Origin home screen.
I have tried 'repairing' the game, I have no Electronic Arts folder in 'My Documents' so no mods could be interfering. I have done the 'msconfig' and disabled everything there and does not work. Tried deleting all caches aswell, I just can't figure out why it is not working.
I am on a DELL Lattitude E7440.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Your Notebook is very weak for gaming with only 4GB RAM and weak integrated graphics. Have you upgraded to Windows 10? This is a bit better at running games than Windows 8 that this notebook ships with. You might be able to run the legacy edition. To download this click the game in Origin and on the Extras tab scroll down to Legacy Edition and install it. Note that with the Legacy edition you will not be able to run any packs released in the last year. And you wont have access to the online library.
- 6 years ago@jpkarlsen Thank you for the feedback, I have tried downloading the Legacy Edition but it is still doing the same thing, do you reckon my laptop is too weak? I did used to play it on this laptop but it has been a few years.

Check that it is set to start the Legacy Edition. Rightclick the Game and select Game Properties. On the Advanced tab make sure that the Sims 4 Legacy is selected.
