Since I did the update on my PC the sims 4 game will not play, I can load the start button but when I hit play the whole origin dashboard briefly disappears before returning to my screen. I have tried reinstalling origin and sims but it still keeps failing. Any help would be appreciated,

And just double-checking, but did you in fact disable your antivirus completely? It's often not enough to merely set exceptions for the game and Origin. Even if you don't think you have any third-party antivirus software, a program may have come pre-installed on your computer.
