Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The 11-10-2020 patch caused the issue.
I have tried everything to resolve the issue of Sims 4 not launching.
I have deleted the cache folders
Moved the game to the my documents\electronic arts\
deleted it from there and redownloaded
moved it to the desktop
reloaded Windows 10 from scratch
Reinstalled origin
Downloaded Sims4
Performed an uninstall of Origin "The Hard Way"
Reinstalled VC++ x86 and x64
checked the page file which is managed by Windows
Still it will not launch. I click play then the screen shows the desktop for a few seconds and then comes back the the play button. It never launches. I have spent 2 hrs on the phone with support and there was no resolution. Help Please..
@SemTechNick Where is Sims 4 installed now? Please open a File Explorer window, search for TS4_x64 , click on it, select Open File Location, and you'll see the location in the address bar, above the list of files and folders. Please copy that location and paste it into a post here.
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
