sorry im not sure what you mean. do you mean i need to delete the desk top short cut for sims 4 or uninstall everything?
@Arellanna You can simply drag the desktop shortcut to the recycle bin, then update the game. Or repair it if you've already updated. If you did update and the desktop shortcut looks normal again, don't do anything to it.

in regards to my missing saves, i tried finding what you talked about in your previous posts, but all my saves have disappeared, its like they never existed in the first place. would they possibly be in some obscure folder?.
if not does anyone know how i can contact someone at EA to try resolve this?

@Arellanna The only places to search are on your computer and in OneDrive, either in My Files or the recycle bin. If you want to be absolutely sure they're nowhere on your computer, download Everything, from VoidTools, which is a free search tool that works a lot better than the built-in Windows tool. Search for Slot_ and see what you get.
This is not an EA-side issue, but rather a system issue of some kind; and EA support doesn't really know what to do about it. So there's no point in contacting EA for help. But if you want to anyway, this is the help portal:

i have found the files on my computer, and they are all named correctly as per the guide at the start of this Q&A. but they're still don't appear in game. i also removed one drive as soon as i got computer and before i downloaded game, so thats not the issue.
anymore ideas?
