I would like to put my saved games somewhere on my computer other than OneDrive, but I can't find where to change the save settings. It's very annoying having it tied to OneDrive, as every time I play I get notifications from OneDrive that "You deleted a large amount of files from OneDrive" like EVERY SINGLE TIME I PLAY. It's such a pain. Anyone figured out how to fix this?
Also, The Sims games seem to automatically download a TON of image files into my OneDrive Photos folder - like THOUSANDS of image files, most of which are screenshots I never took and images of dumb things like game objects or clothing items. I did not consent to having thousands of images of Sims items cluttering up my OneDrive Photos folder. How do I fix this so nothing else gets saved there?
Stop OneDrive from automatically synchronizing the documents folder. Start the game and the the default user folders will be created in the Documents folder. Exit the game then you can copy or move your saves and mods (if you have any) from OneDrive to your local hdd.

Thank you for your quick response. I've tried stopping synchronizing before, and doing so automatically deletes everything in my documents folder, so I lose all my saved games. So that doesn't really work.

I followed your instructions. The Sims opened asking me to start a new game. I searched everywhere for an option to tell it to look for my saved games from the folder I copied them to, but there was no option. I had no choice but to put them back in my OneDrive folder. Now I'm waiting for it to sync and hoping that it works because otherwise I've lost all my saved games like I was afraid would happen. Thanks for trying to help, but yeah... that doesn't work.
