After trying to launch my game with advanced launch options to disable all owned packs I noticed a problem. I was prompted to reset my resolution settings and other prompts when the game is fully reset and my saves were gone. After opening EA it restarted itself and updated/redownloaded all of my packs? I didn't select repair save so I don't know why this occurred. I don't know what happened to my saves, they're simply gone. I searched my computer for files named "Slot_" to no results. This is really disappointing and while I'm sure nothing can be done to recover my old saves is there any way to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Yes, I had mods installed. Mainly MCCC and a bit of CAS and BB CC. My game version is 1.111.102.1030 . Beforehand I had played with these advanced launch settings and encountered no problem saving or reopening my game prior to this incident.

As for why this happened, sometimes it's unclear. Other times it's that while updating the game or installing more content, your computer temporarily had little enough free space on C that OneDrive pushed some files to cloud storage only. Occasionally the problem is that the game itself was installed into Documents.
