Cursor gets stuck on camera icon and won't let me click anything

Very annoying, after spending £50 and waiting 23 hours for it to download I finally start creating a family and my mouse is a camera and will only let me turn the body around, I haven't even got to the stage where I create a house, can anybody help? I brought the game through origin, i play on a laptop, it's windows 7, my laptop is about a year old, I've tried clicking and pressing enter and pressing the windows button, no hope
