Death by cowplant never completes

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.59.73.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Parenthood and Seasons
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a cowplant eat a sim twice
What happens when the bug occurs? The cowplant eats the sim, I get a notification that he's dying, Grim Reaper shows up, rest of household is wailing and witnessing death, but the cowplant just keeps chewing and death never happens. The sim being eaten is still available to select. Other family members can plead with death, but I'm told their pleas fall on deaf ears and the sim is really gone.
What do you expect to see? I've never had this work, so I don't know "how" it should happen, but the sim should die and the rest of the family should continue living their lives.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    @crinrict I deleted him via the Manage Households option in the end - I needed him gone so that his wife could move in her new boyfriend and they could raise their child together. 🙂

    @susanshoe2 Does this happen with several Sim ? Did you check if you can kill that Sim by other means or if he maybe cant' die ?

    I hadn't tried it with other sims - he's the only one I want to die. I am starting to wonder if he can't die though. I keep locking him in a room and making him hysterical, but so far he still hasn't died. He also should have passed out from exhaustion (because while I was making him hysterical, I didn't let him sleep) but still stayed awake. His buff said that he would pass out from exhaustion in 0 minutes (after I checked to see how long I might have to wait) but he just kept going and going, hysterical and exhausted at the same time. Is there another way to force death? I'm almost afraid to let him live now, because he'll either want revenge or I'll feel too guilty to play the household with him in it. I also had him eat pufferfish, but he just survived that too, although I know they sometimes do survive that.

    @susanshoe2 Did you download the Sim from the gallery or was he an NPC ? There's a bug with some traits that aren't removed properly that make them immortal.

    There's a mod that can help you find out but if you don't want to use mods, you can upload him to the gallery and I can check for you.
