When I tap on a sim or any object, it takes a frustratingly long time, around 10 seconds or more, for the interaction menu to show up. The same delay happens when performing actions like cooking or clicking on the fridge. This has been an ongoing problem for months, despite my attempts to fix it by deleting all mods, custom content, and tray files, and even starting a new game. The delay issue persists even in new save files.
@kusuphos As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a(nother) new save and see whether it's affected.
If it is, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
