Desktop pc-unable to click my sim or any other sims in any household
On my desktop pc only-my sims (all files) are borked. I cant click on any other sims with them, i can only click items and shift click while cas.fulleditmode is on. However the issue seems to be only happening on my desktop and not my laptop. both run Win 11, both computers are running sims thru EA App, I've tried every solution given in the threads i've found here, on google, and on reddit. It isnt the update because all the things worked fine this morning. Even uninstalling and reinstalling didnt fix it. I even made new files. they dont work. I can upload my characters to the gallery and play them fine on my laptop so i dont know what the issue is here. Any help would be appreciated. Both games are the latest version(that im aware of) 1.110.265.1030 and both have DX9 after the version number on the menu. the only thing i can really think of was the S4MP launcher but removing that and restarting my game did nothing and its on my laptop too so i dont think it was my problem. any thoughts?
@DaisuBrew If you have any files in ConfigOverride, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, please remove them.
If that doesn't help, please remove your Mods folder.
If that doesn't help either, please disable any apps that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well, under Settings > Application.
