Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Set The Sims 4 to use DirectX 11 through EA App's command line, then play the game as you would normally do
What happens when the bug occurs? The general frame rate is significantly worse and more unstable than what is experienced with DirectX 9
What do you expect to see? A better performance overall, or at least not a worse one
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I usually have MCCC and AllCheats, but I took them out before testing the update
I have a GTX 1050 Mobile. I tested the game in both an old and a new save file, on a same premade EA lot. With DirectX 9, the game generally runs at 90-100fps (unless a sudden, massive frame drop kicks in, but that has been a thing for a while now). With DirectX 11, the frame rate settles around 60-70fps when the camera is still, but drops even further to 30-40fps whenever I move around, resulting in a highly unstable performance.
Graphics drivers are up to date. I attached my DxDiag log as requested.
