@KingRayVeteran Try going into Game Options and changing the game from "Fullscreen" to "Windowed Fullscreen;" that's what worked for me.
Oh no! I'd hate to run my game that way. Never had to before. I'll check it out, though. Just to see if it works. It's still a bug because none of my other games do that and I've been playing all The Sims games since the beginning.
Thank you, that does work even though it looks a little strange. EA, please don't ignore this issue because there's a workaround.
Oh wow, they switched this to another thread. No way would I have found it with the new DirectX subject. Didn't know that's why this is happening.

So, even after the new update, Alt+Tab still not working in DX11. Great! This was reported so many times by so many people and even after, like 5 updates since the release of DX11, you still are not willing to fix this and ensure such a basic Windows function is working again? Just fix it finally, so I can use DX11 with this game. For me, this bug is enough to continue playing in DX9. What is taking you so long to fix it? I just don't get this, EA and Maxis. Just fix it finally and ASAP!
