discover university not downloading

Have updated my secondary TS4 installation to version1.61.15.1020 today.  It was missing some purchased packs so there was extra downloading time.  University was not among them.  In the game's main screen am told to download.  When I click the button am told I already own it, which I do, but it's not in the game.  Origin is equally unhelpful.  Now what?

  • @OldeSimsFan  The instructions I linked are for clearing Origin's cache; sorry if that wasn't clear.  The way to manually download Discover University is within the Origin app.  Those steps are independent, but it's best to clear Origin's cache and restart your computer before trying to download the pack again.

  • @OldeSimsFan  Clear Origin's cache, restart your computer, and try downloading again.  Specifically, click on the Sims 4 icon in your Origin game library, select More > Expansion Packs, scroll down to where Discover University is listed, and click Download.  You can do the same for any pack that hasn't downloaded.

Please make sure that Origin isn't in offline mode as well—sometimes newly downloaded packs won't show up if you launch the game while offline.  Origin would say "offline mode" in the upper right corner of its window.

Does that take me to a different 'program files' than the regular file explorer does?  Used that to search, and found both 'program files' and 'program files (x86)'.  Only the latter has any Origin folders, and none of them contain anything remotely like what you are showing.

While waiting I did a restart and then tried your redownload procedure.  All went well, it's in game, and even discovered that if a sim has skills high enough they can tutor at the college and earn a little bit of cash.  Never thought of what you said to do.  Many thanks for you help!
