Double "Options.ini" files?

I am in the process of backing up my computer manually as I need to send it in for check up/repair.

As I'm going through copying the important TS4 folders I just noticed I have two of options.ini and as far as googling I can't find that being normal? I also don't think I've had it that way before. (I've backed up folders/files before for TS4 and don't remember seeing two.)

However the second one is called "Options-VelvetThunder" which is the name of my computer.

  • @naauli Yeah, not sure where they were coming from. I think it's safe to delete them and just move on playing.

  • @naauli You seem to have those for several files. That's not something you normally have. Can you move them all to the desktop (the velvetThunder files) and see if they recreate ?

I did remove them now, and they aren't recreating, but wouldn't I perhaps have to start the game to see if they recreate then..?

I can add that the reason I have to send my computer in is because my D harddrive where all my games are saved keeps disappearing randomly.

I just started the game, went into a household for a bit, then closed the game down. The files do not replicate. Strange!
