Downpatching The Sims 4
Hi! I'm looking to downpatch The Sims 4, specifically to a version from January 2021 or earlier. This is for the purposes of speedrunning, as updates starting later into 2021 made changes which heavily impacted the speedrun of this game. The earliest version of the game which I have access to is from July of 2021 (ver. 1.77.131.1030).
Assuming that I am able to get hold of a physical copy of the game from before January 2021, I may be able to use a fresh install without it being patched by the Origin launcher. However, this obviously requires buying another copy of the game.
So my question is: "Has anyone downpatched The Sims 4 / know how to?"
Any responses would be greatly appreciated!
I don't know what you mean by speed running. But what you describe is not possible as the game would immediately update to latest version.
